On Thursday, the Tornados took the field against one of the best teams in the league. Coach Mike had to think quick on his feet as we were short a few players for the game. Fielding only 10 players versus Team Blackout's 11 was no doubt the biggest challenge the Tornados have faced.
But everyone reading this blog knows that the Tornados always try their hardest and have a lot of fun playing this game - and when you mix those two elements, only good things can happen!
Riley, Christopher, Luke and Lawrence played defense like wild dogs as they intercepted just about every pass, stole the ball with ease and kicked the ball up the field with some serious power.
Madison, Joey, Jonathan and Owen ran like crazy all over the field - without a break - and showed some serious toughness. With red faces and feet carrying them as fast as they can, they had a lot of fans in us parents rooting them on throughout the game.
Jace and Aaron revved past the Blackout's defense and got a few shots past the goalie to bring the Tornados a much deserved win! Which reminds me... I forgot to put in my quarters!
You each deserve a big round of applause for your effort in this game - no matter what the outcome of this game was, all of us parents are really proud of you for how you played!
Way to go Tornados!
